About Us | Our Story
We’ve been at this for a long time! When we started few offices had a fax machine let alone a desktop computer or laser printer. Photocopiers had not yet become “digital”, in fact many ran on liquid toner.
We’ve witnessed the evolution from the first HP LaserJets to digital multifunctional products. Now, almost 25 years later we’ve seen the evolution back to decentralized printing via desktop multifunctional products. The only constants are that business needs to print documents and businesses want to maximize their ability to print while minimizing the cost to do so.
Serving eastern Nova Scotia since 1993, ICR Ltd. has evolved to become a premiere source of laser printing equipment, supplies and service. We are B2B, operating outwards from a warehouse in Sydney, NS where we stock machines, parts and supplies for brands such as Brother, Canon, Dell, HP, Lexmark, Ricoh, Samsung and Sharp to name a few. For some we are authorized dealer, others authorized reseller and some we provide supplies and 3rd party service. We also deal in shredders, folders, inserters and scanners.
Early in our existence we identified an opportunity in mailing and postage equipment. This opportunity brought us to Ascom Canada which ultimately led to us becoming dealer for Quadient, a world leader in mailing solutions. We value this relationship greatly as Quadient, like ICR is extremely customer-centric. We encourage you to check out the Quadient value proposition.
Samsung Canada came looking for us in late 2008. They needed a vendor to service a major national account and we agreed to help. Within 12 months we made them our main MFP (multi-function printer) line. We still feel they are the “low cost leader” of the industry.
Our greatest asset is our customers. In fact, our growth is twofold, firstly from the expansion of our business within our customer base, secondly from them referring us to peers. We strive everyday to make it easy for our customers to do business with us.
ICR is 100% locally owned and operated, full stop. The majority of our customers are locally owned and operated and we do our best to return their custom, every day. We also support local charities such as 100 Men Who Care and Feed Nova Scotia to name a few.
We offer a style of functional, common sense service unlike anything available locally. We believe this combination of outstanding service combined with fair, expert advice offers our clientele unrivaled value.
